This past weekend, the New Brunswick Table Tennis Association (NBTTA), through its High-Performance Program, proudly hosted an Umpire and Referee Clinic at the Moncton Coliseum.
The event brought together passionate members of our table tennis community who were eager to deepen their understanding of the sport’s officiating standards. Participants gained valuable insights into both the technical and practical aspects of being an umpire or referee — skills that are essential for running fair, professional-level competitions.

A huge thank you goes out to Ingrid McPhee for organizing this successful event and to Erica Ans, who served as the driving force behind the clinic. Erica brought her exceptional expertise as a certified International Umpire and Referee, offering participants firsthand knowledge from the highest levels of competition. 🏓💪
We’re deeply grateful to Erica for taking the time to lead these sessions and to everyone who attended and contributed to making this initiative such a success.
Together, we continue to strengthen the foundation of table tennis in New Brunswick — not just through players, but through the dedicated officials who make our tournaments possible.
